No GI Submission Wrestling is just as it sounds. Wrestlers don't wear a uniform or GI but, instead where a rash guard, a pair of super tough reinforced lycra shorts and shirt. This second skin protects the skin against matt abrasion and makes it very difficult for your opponent to get a hold of you and visa-versa.

TThis also means that wrestling is as important to master as is Jujitsu. When there is no GI to hang on to, the submission wrestler must rely on a much better movement balance, tactile sensitivity and an understanding of body contour. The submission holds are still utilized only the matches move much quicker with less tangling up! Takedowns, throws, tying-up, riding, submission holds and finishing moves are the tactical elements of the No GI Submission Wrestler!
