My Methodology Perspective
Hib
I use no gimmicks and I have developed my own system of ways of doing things that suit the tasks I am trying to complete. I am my own man as well as a sponge and I gather information from any source: past, present or future. I compete against the best competition I can find and test my theories and draw conclusions from my experience. I do this in order to improve my personal understanding and reach my students better. I am in a constant state of flux between learning and experimenting as a student, and evolving and passing on any gained knowledge as a teacher. I am not afraid to share anything I learn or know of and in addition, I encourage my students to learn to adopt the same open-minded approach and attitude. I believe in a solid work ethic filled with dedication, freedom to question, talent level, guts, and athleticism in order to progress. Anything less would not be up to my standard!

Your Trainer
As your trainer I will do my best to inspire the same kind of work ethic in you as I use with in myself. I am dedicated to training your body physically hard in order to be the best and most accomplished athlete you can be. I believe in cutting to the chase and working hard. My training methods are diversified by the use of any means necessary.
My goals for you are geared toward your improved health, fitness and functional fighting martial arts ability. I use many approaches to seek out the most motivating, established and new ways to train and improve your conditioning. Our journey together is towards finding out what will drive you to get one more rep, jump a little higher, run a little faster or, enable you to last one more round. Together this is what we are striving for as trainer and athlete!
Concentration is why some athletes are better than others. You develop that concentration in training. You can’t be lackluster in training and then concentrate in a meet.

Your Instructor
As your instructor I will do my best to influence you but not duplicate myself in you. I will try to get inside your mind and help you to imagine all the possibilities with in the context of your own limitations. I will teach you by establishing a foundation building process through tool development and technique tactics. You will learn progressions or stages of training proficiency and fit these into a fighting range. Through practice with me you will then absorb the necessary personal style and strategy you need to survive. Through my guidance you will develop your own personal brand of martial arts. It will be something you can be proud of, accomplished at and feel confident using. I will teach you the difference between learning and competing, training and fighting so you can work with me to help you achieve all your personal goals as martial artists. In addition, I’ll encourage your exposure to other instructors, systems and styles of martial arts. Together it is your evolution that we are striving for as instructor and student!
